QUICK REVIEW - Star Trek 2009

By a mishap with the projector during Next Day Air's previews, I was unable to see that film. What came of that was a refunded ticket for Star Trek. Was it any good?



STAR TREK gets a B+
pros: Great special effects, good plot, good performances
cons: Unlikeable Kirk, Shaky Cam sucks, Too long

For real, I personally never really got Star Trek, but after watching the new one, I'm eager to be a newer Trekkie lol.

I'm a trekkie and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed TNG, DS9, and Voyager. I would even enjoy a sequil to those series or a film set about 100 years or more after voyager. Just as long as it involves a starship exploring the universe as a metanerative for good science fiction storytelling that asks good questions and provokes a good deal of thought and does not retcon anything.

They will criticize everything that is not the original.
