you're right stazzou, it's part of the problem. The supermarket they've blocked chose to import foreign fruits and vegetables though it is located in an important area of farming. Why should we eat spanish strawberrys while our farmers living next door can't make a living ? Lower prices ? Yes but so lower quality too...

It will take a lot for the British Farmers to do things like that because British Culture is a "reserved and very impersonal" culture. They like things given to them (be it goods/materials or ideas) rather than them going and getting it for themselves. Salut.
