I honestly don't know how you mannage to get a DP shortcut to become a SPD. They have put short cuts in there for a lot of specials, but its not mandatory to use them sice they still have the most off the original inputs.

The only caracter where shortcuts are a really noticable problem is Seth.

If you put more time into working on execution and less time on making silly weeaboo emotes you might not complain so much about how hard it is to use top-tier Gief.

The game is a mess of shortcuts, auto turn-arounds, horrid priorities & wiffage. 'Gief is merely a joke character (in a good way, unlike El Fucko or Blanka for example -_-) that is fun for shits a giggles ONLY.

Gouken is the only decent character in the game... & even he is derivative & not particularly tourney worthy/high tier.

'IV"s a casual fighter made to quicken interest for the series' return. Lets hope 'Super' addresses the game;s myriad problems because another 'IV' just won't cut it.

Half the time a SPD comes out when u try combo a green hand into c.jabs (when using a DP motion). Hence why u'r better off doin a Guile Ultra type motion when goin for a Banishing Flat after jabs.

The range(s) of his SPDs are a poor shadow of their former selves also. The jab version has passable range (sometimes), but the others WIFF more often than grab! -_-

But the point is that I think you're wrong about Gief on almost everyting. SPD has the same 360 motion, the range is about the same Gief has more tools to get in. I just had to say something.
