The Buzzards - You Got Me Down

This is a music video for The Buzzards, a Detroit band that was getting pretty popular in the garage rock scene, before they called it quits a few years back. I shot this on 16mm and edited it for a school project back in 2001. The Buzzards featured Maribel Restrepo of the Detroit Cobras and Joe Burdick of the Dirtys, as well as the lovely Paterra twins. They were a really fun band (especially live) that had cool, definitely distinct sound to them. You can hear more of The Buzzards by picking up the Jack White-produced compilation disc Sympathetic Sounds of Detroit (on the label Sympathy For The Record Industry). And speaking of Jack White, both he and Meg made it into a scene in the video, as well as Ko Melina (Ko & the Knockouts, Dirtbombs), Ben Blackwell (Dirtbombs, Cass Records) and some others..
