Triela and Hillshire's Tragic Past

So this is how the father-daughter, partner-like, fratello came about.

Unlike the other handler, Hishire did not find Triela in a hospital or just a history/profile bok. He was there witnessing what's left of her after the making of a snuff movie. Literary torn to pieces physically and emotionally. Naked, violated, mutilated, and left for dead. To top that, he lost his partner then, Rachelle, as she spent her last strength resuscitating Triela. With every press Rachelle did, she lost more blood as Triela got closer to being revived. So it was as if Rachelle gave her very own life for Triela. Realistically speaking, Hilshire had to take over after she died. She got the abc (air breathing circulation) part going by performing CPR. Triela must have been out initially from hypovolemic shock due to blood loss from severed right femoral artery. Hilshire would have to put pressure on her severed leg artery to prevent further blood loss. One can be desensitized if that's his/her profession, but Hilshire was not an EMT. Once you're covered with blood trying to save another soul, I believe you'd share a special bond/grew attached to that soul.

That, to me, is what make them the most special fratello.

No wonder the first anime didn't put depth on Triela's past. The anime also neglected to mention that Henrietta was a victim of sexual assault following the death of her family in the manga.
