@mogwai142 We don't want gfx-whore CoD players in quake. Quake is pure gameplay and skill, and always will be. Lowering gfx makes the gameplay better for the player. Quake will always be different from the noob FPS games for this reason.

thats just incredible! but the anticipated movements and "leave the fight after a hit to find a new armor" is killing this. I'd like to see a match where the map is totally unknown to the players.

but ye that would be impossible.

@MalpercioGod tbh I have played quake 2 but never online since connections back then were dial up, and that was way to expensive for playing. Anyway I also play cod from time to time on ps3, but hardcore mods.I only have cod 4 though, since I'm fan of killzone a bit more. If you have any working pc even old one you may want to check out quakelive though. It's free game and it's amazing if you love old school fps games. It's a Q3 after all so it's very similar to Q2.

@lazyluke712 Does Quake 2 see any love anymore? I'd like to get back into the game that started it all for me first.

All I play now is CoD. It's more casual based, and console so I have less issues with it. Games fine when you're relaxing. Quake kept me uptight and honed my reaction skills.

@lazyluke712 My PC is broken. I used to play Quake 2 competitively but small time. KromeDrone was the name I used, but no one knows it.

I'll be looking into Quake Live, but from what i've seen it's a bit different than Quake 2. Which is what I'll need to get used to.

@RockinPSI ya it is true when the nub actually lsiten you because in TF 2 the nub cod ppl actually said to go*&?* urself i want to play spy when there is already 4 spies in the team. I kinda hate the fact cod put the mentality that in every fps u can play alone. But i agree with you
