hey my problem isnt as bad as urs but about a month ago i dropped my laptop it had the charger in it and the charger broke the plastic above and now when i put the charger in it pushes the port towards the centre, and its hard to get the charger in normally, is there a way to fix that, or do i have to just live with it? i can post a video if that helps or u dont get what i mean :) just anything to fix it lol. thanks.

@LOLAG3S - do a 30 sec video response on it, maybe you can hot glue or crazy glue the broken plastic piece.

nice, I had the same problem before on a customers laptop, only the jack was shot and needed to be replaced and soldered on.

Need help on this the contract ground on my gateway is too flat compared to my other Toshiba. What can i do ?

Thanks for this vid! I fixed my loose jack by prying up the ground contacts the way you described and it charges perfectly now!
