Here's an old Kawai Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar for you to check out. It's got lots of personality to it...finish checking galore and a very unique sound. You buy this guitar to have something different...usually for use on a song or two and not as a main guitar...it would probably be great for slide guitar (which is not my thing so I don't go there in my demo's). Also noteworthy is that its relatively small and it's a 23.5" shortscale instrument which is great for smaller hands (but I wouldn't use this for a kids guitar). I set-up, clean-up, and thoroughly go over everything I sell and I'm very picky about what I buy in the first place. I'll be putting it up on eBay in a no games, no hidden reserve auction. Also...Guitars Wanted as I'm always looking for more guitars...I buy/sell/trade 'em. I'm plugged straight into my same old rig (no effects at all)...Fender Super Sonic combo with an Avatar 2x12 all loaded with 12" Hellatone 30's...I use Monster cables for the most part unless I specify something else...this was a 12' Jazz cable between the guitar and amp and a Performer 500 series Speaker cable for the extension cabinet. Any questions, just ask...

This is interesting. I have a jazz master looking body and neck given to me.
The neck is identical to yours. same inlays, trim, shape, string bar behind the nut. dead on.
Someone removed all the finish from it. otherwise I would know if it was the same make as yours.

I'm pretty sure that it's the same neck as on the guitar "burning" in AC/DC's Highway to Hell tour program/poster (yes I was there at Towson State College/University...just outside of Baltimore, Maryland for the Oct. 16, 1979 show w/the Pat Travers Band featuring Tommy Aldridge on drums opening). I still have that program somewhere...probably worth a lot of $ now! That guitar was a Fender-ish shaped solid body...I guess they couldn't afford to burn real Gibson's back then.

say, why don't ya' plug this into a few diff stomp boxes, an', show 'em what this little bugger will sound like then?

Sorry...this guitar is long gone...plus people give me a hard time for even putting the distortion on saying it colors the tone and they can't hear what the guitar sounds like...so I like to plug straight into the amp. For what it's worth, I rarely use any pedals myself except the loop station which is really not an effect but a recording device. Thanks for watching though!

These are weird... how rare are these?

It's the only one I've ever seen...and I've seen lots...but they (Kawai) are in the official Vintage Guitar Buyers Guide...no models specifically, just some general guidelines...
TFW!
