Sorry, but I had to upload this here to prove a point. If you don't like it I understand.
___________

DX7, a psychological thriller, is a multi-camera DSLR short film directed and produced by several high school students. It was a huge joint effort by all the members of the Flower Mound Filmmaker's Society club. I formed the club at the beginning of this school year as a way of joining together eager aspiring teenage filmmakers who want to make films. Prior to the formation of the club I made unorganized, shoot-'um-up movies lacking in a plot and structure. So we decided, after all the films we had made and all the knowledge we gained from our mistakes on other films, we had to make a short film that made sense and actually had a plot. And this is what we made.

  • whoever held the camera has shakey hands. they need that thingy to mount on the cam (no its not a tripod, its the one the cameraperson wears and where the camera is mounted)

You are thinking of a steady cam. The camera work in this film is done for a specific reason. During scenes that are intense, unsure, or have any sort of danger in them, the camera is hand held to give it that dangerous, unknowing, in the action sort of feel. The first sequence in the film is very shaky for that reason. If it was smooth the effect would not sell. During sterol and not dangerous scenes, the camera is on a tripod which feels safe and secure, far away from danger.

However I completely understand where you are coming from.

  • Slow, boring, and dull...

  • @shadow99reviews I must say, the film would've been hell of alot more appreciated for its content if it wasnt for the wobble. For me, if not for the camera wobble, I wouldve given it 10/10

  • great video but i didnt see the point in it

  • what was the point you had to prove?

But I did like it, very original and looked very well made!

  • that was sick, about time we get something :D
