The Volume Box for Valve Amplifiers, attenuator? (Español)

For this video, I used:

1 Amplifier Head Blackstar HT Stage 100 watts
1 Cabinet Series One 412B vintage 30
1 Volume Box conected in Loop Effects, send and return jacks
1 Guitar: Cort MX 600
Pick ups: Seymour Duncan Blackouts, Neck and Bridge
No effect pedals, no effects distorsion were conected on this video.

For recording, I used a camera, Sony Cybershot 6 Mpixels, I extrated the audio converting to mp3 320 kbps.

The settings on amplifier:(o'clock position / level of knob)
Master Volume : between 6 - 7 o'clock / 0 - 1 (The Volume Box disconnected) 9 o'clock / 3 (The Volume Bos connected)
Presence : 4 o'clock / 8
Resonance : 1 o'clock / 6
Reverb : 7 o'clock / 1

Clean Channel:
Treble : 1 o'clock / 6
Bass : 11 o'clock / 4
Volume : 9 o'clock / 3
Vocing Boutique on
Pick ups position: Neck

Crunch channel:
Volume : 12 o'clock / 5
Gain : 12 o'clock
Voicing on
Pick ups position: Bridge

Overdrive High Gain:
Volume : 11 o'clock / 4
Gain : 1 o'clock / 6
Voicing on
Pick ups position: Bridge

I hope you like this video, the intention is to show if the Volume Box is good or not. Works like an attenuator.

@VKzGibson this volume box improves the quality of sound of amplifier, because all amplifier is better when you turn up the volume master, but too loud, so this volume Box controls the volume master.

Is this pedal for someone who has an amp that doesn't have a master volume like a Fender Twin, Hotrod, or Blues Jr

@SuperGuitarMark Good question, but remember, this volume box will work if you amp has send and return loop effects, so if your amp has both loops, it will work, and also like volume master.

Hola, te hago una consulta, tu amplificador no tiene para controlar el send y return del loop de efectos? Porque en el mio lo tiene. De ser asi seria lo mismo que instalar este atenuador o no? Slds y gracias por subir el video no habia nada de esto por ningun lado!!

@pisciano87 No, este amplificador ht 100 de blackstar no lleva perilla, pero si un boton de 4db a 10db, por favor no confundir, the volume box, no es para aumentar o disminuir ganancia de los loop effects, este funciona exactamente como un potenciometro, para dar mas volumen o disminuir como un master, y la perilla del volumen master del propio amplificador, hace como si fuese de un canal, algo asi. Si, la verdad que no hay videos de este, yo me siento muy contento.

not an attenuator. but at least its an affordable way of reducing volume. (ps don't put it between power amp and speaker unless you like explosions.)
