Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Benefits are to pay medical bills for the two young men in the wreck on Sunday, May 30th, and did not have health insurance.

The two young men barrel-rolled their fourwheeler down a very steep hill climb known as "The Fours" at 5-Points, WV Memorial Day Weekend. Both were Life-flighted to Morgantown. They lost control at a high speed and plummeted DOWN the hill, were thrown off about halfway and their bike landed on the bottom. They suffered very serious injuries from the impact of the wreck. One landed upside down in the ditch, the other just above him, where they laid for around a half hour before anyone was able to get to them. Bystanders were the first to the scene and performed first aid until Lumberport, Folsom, and Wallace Fire and Rescue crews arrived. It took some 3 hours to extract the victims from the hillside. The men were hand-carried by fire and rescue personnel and bystanders to the top of the hill where the ambulances waited to take them to the helicopters several miles away.

How close is 5 points to salem and alma

@johnsZ281 yeah, its a big area along the county lines of harrison, doddridge, tyler, wetzel, and marion counties, hence the name "5 points" .....but from rt. 23 near salem it takes about 30 min on a fourwheeler

I remember when this happened we was down climbin Agnes....terrible thing....gotta stay safe and stay smart, when ridin at 5 Points....

@sheldon549 Yea it was pretty bad, and scary.....they are both recovering tho thank the Lord...That was a bad weekend at 5-Points anyhow cause it was so dry and slick!!

@THizzle80 And Polaris and Honda too. I believe Honda now, since they stopped putting straight Axles I think? But yeah, Yamaha, Polaris, Can Am, Kawasaki and Artic-Cat.

I go to west virgina every year to hatfield and mccoy trails you gotta take it easy some of those hills are steep as hell.you need to respect the trail and you bike.I see guys fly down those trails.its dangerous and this is what happens if you don't take it easy.I hope these guys ok.sorry for happened.

Sport quads are better for hillclimb 4x4 are better for takin it easy but still have a ton of power when u need it can am renegade dont count its jist a bad ass all around quad I ride a 700 rapor and a canam outlander max like ever thing else the have there pros and cons raptor bout 400 pounds can am bout 950 pounds utility quad u dont want to land on you sport not to bad

@imanacdcfan dude, today's utility quads aren't the straight axled Hondas of the 90s, today's Can Ams and Grizzlies and brute Forces will do any hill climb a sport bike would do and they would do it far easier, thanks to being able to use 4wd.

There is better hills in Lanark just near Beckly I climbed a hill we called Rethus and its way steeper and longer.

@mikemacneil163 you were comparing dirt bikes to quads. we were comparing 4wd's to 2wd sport quads. dirt bikes are nowhere in the equation. so, why shouldn't a 4x4 attempt hill climbs? what makes you think that a 2wd sport quad is a more capable machine when it comes to hillclimbs?
