@nadicastillop Try setting it to "M" because some settings aren't available in the full auto mode.

60D N00b question and point of frustration: I've "cleared all camera settings" and the only thing I've done is change the AF mode to AF Quick. Nothing I do will allow me to use the "AF Point" button for anything but zoom-in. The camera is in Manual Exposure "M" mode. I've been reading through the manual, which is not terrible, but it tends to leave out key information. Example: "press the AF button to change to AI Servo." Doesn't work if the LCD viewfinder is on, but no mention of this.

Great way to learn about EOS 60D, but it can be a little fast for "Newbies" like me. However, I am glad I found the series. Thanks ChristopherK this has been really helpful.

@Aiyoukim It's not possible to have the viewfinder screen on your LCD screen, but using features like live view, everthing shown on the viewfinder is found on the lcd screen as well. Looking at the screen makes it a little harder to balance, and is difficult to shoot when in bright daylight. They are two different tools, the viewfinder is more suited to rapid pace shots and the screen is more suited to composition. But, the LCD screen is helpful with portraits and video. Hope I helped (:

I recently bough my first dSLR camera, noob question... Is there a way you can have the display shown in 1:21 on the LCD screen? I wear thick glasses and prefer using the LCD screen to take pics instead of looking into the viewfinder, is this bad?
