Funny how this video is so similar of Laird Hamiltons video of Jaw's (PeA'hi) ..... not sure if this is Mike Parson's ride .... though he does have an excellent video of his ride at Jaw's this is not the video ... I know I was there. Jaw's is offshore and not a beach ... too many rocks ... not many hang out a Jaw's.

Look at the "chop" on the surface of the water. Look at how he controls the board. How fast does he get going? I think there is a limit of 55/60 mph at which the fins underneath cavitate. But he controls! And outruns the foam! I think that as the wave rises up to a crest that you are actually in freefall (if it becomes vertical), but the point is to stay just ahead of that curve.
