i think linux is great on eepc i was trialing one and foun it very good to use

On an Asus eePC yeah it is good because they are low performance machines therefor an OS that uses less resources would work better.

dude linux are used for servers i control a linux server to control 6 macs and 10 pcs

linux never calmed to be a desktop pc replacement

and ubuntu is not hard to use it quite easy

Yeah, I never said it wasn't good for servers and if you watch revolution OS a documentary on Linux and it's founders they did intend it to be a mainstream OS for home users.

"no compatibility?" excuse me, but i think you should research a little before you start ranting about Linux. it is easy to use, and you are very wrong about windows being a better OS. i'll confess that Linux can be beat by Windows in some aspects. but only a few. you can very easily run games on linux. (i have need for speed carbon and call of duty on my linux ubuntu computer and they run fine with the use of a free program called Wine.)

People that don't know how to use Linux and only use it for a day or two are the only people that hate Linux... I'll help you learn it if you want it's not really that hard and it's fun to use... Would I replace windows with is... Not sure I'd go that far, but it does have tons of free software and I mean tons... even 3D software

Depending on the distribution (shitty noob friendly one)... I could agree that OSX could be better since they have the same goal.

But any 'real' non bloated linux distribution will beat mac OS anytime.

And most of the OS in the BSD family will beat any mac OS that's granted.

I find quite funny that you are saying that ubuntu is not user friendly and that linux is hard to use (keeping in mind that ubuntu is the most noob friendly linux distro available).

Instead of saying that linux is bad... you should say that linux is not 'right' for you.

It's the clean way to say that you don't like it because you can't take the time to learn, understand and use it properly.

And I don't mean to play with the GUI (which you must have done) I mean learn and work with the terminal.

Linux is terrible, and the fact that there are users here backing it is just funny, because the fact is that it can be used as a server but is not as great as the Windows 2008server Series, and the OS X server is better then Linux. Linux is not secure, and trust me when you get good with the root controler you can mess up most linux programs, fyi people have fun trying to use linux, ubuntu, or knoppix with your hardware. I already tried. By the way Linux users keep trying to mount on your pc.

yeah i tried linux, just to be curious, and it's great, it actually feels better than windows =p... AND NO IT IS NOT HARD TO USE

Linux sucks, that's why it's free. I've used it many times before and I came to the conclusion that the Mac OS is superior.
