You know that little jar of white gunk you find in the refrigerated section of the grocery store? That little jar you've probably never looked at twice, and would never, ever consider buying and trying? It's probably creamed herring. @fubukifangirl my dad said he tried to get some once but they wont ship it by plane because it can blow up? it souds crazy but i would love to try it. and gag:)

Raw herring is the best. You should really try to get your hands on a herring and have it the dutch way :)

I'm sure there is some stuff on youtube about dutch herring so you can check it out. Keep up the good work.

Hi Remy, in Holland we eat raw herring with chopped onions. It's quite nice, probably tastes better than creamed herring (brrr I would never try that)! My husband is Australian and I had him try raw herring, he didn't mind the taste but said it had a very slimy texture :)
