  • Gene Libbea on bass, David Grier on guitar. Great performance!

  • Does anyone have a video of her version of When the Cactus is in bloom??? I'm lookin' everywhere for it and I can't find it!

  • No one can beat Laurie at this song. She sings it as if she wrote this great song I get chills listening to her sing. The Harmony wasn't bad either. Jim Sullivan

  • No one does it better than this young lady - beautiful rendition!

  • Why bother comparing her voice to Alison Krauss? They're not even similar. You might compare Suzanne Cox to Krauss, but why Lewis? That's like comparing Vince Gill's singing to Rod Stewart's.

And sandpaper? You gotta be kidding. Well, Rod Stewart's, maybe.

  • @m7lists But Alison no longer sings bluegrass. She turned her back on us.

  • Hello - Very well done, Thank-you for sharing your music.

  • That is NOT Roy Huskey playing bass. It's Gene Libbea. Thank you for posting this video. It was a pretty special show for me.

  • @m7lists The great benefit of country music is that the individuality of sound is not technologised out of existence. Her voice is her own and far from unpleasant but different from Alison Krauss. After all, some people say that they don't like the voice of Iris Dement but it fits the music.

  • @k4rotube Yes, I think you are right. Look at Nashville Bluegrass Band - Blue Train. There you can see him clearly. There are two bass players who are easy to recognize, Roy Huskey Jr and the way he moves his right arm and Mark Schatz who is jumping up and down.
