I suddenly realized that Claire Collison (44th place) ran unattached. She is also a Stanford Cardinal Freshman who, coming out of Crescenta Valley HS, Ca, was part of that rarefied group of top-level runners (Hasay, Chetelat, Goldring, Buckley, Lizzy Coe, etc)
Another prospective nail-in-the-coffin for the rest of the PAC-10 at the Championships this season.

This was really cool, I'm a skateboarder not into running, more into extreme "almost dying" type of sports...
I was also the "Hard Camera operator from yesterdays event from 9-27-08 for ESPN's 360.... I enjoyed the whoel experience and all the athletes were awesome....

Very impressive girls race today at the Stanford Invite. Stanford girls won but if you sat the 3 upper classmen down (Harrington, Follmar, O'Meara) and just scored the first 5 Freshmen Cardinals, THEY STILL WOULD HAVE WON THE MEET! I'm impressed. Soph. Alex Gits and RS Soph. Annie St Geme were absent too. Think Stanford's girls are going for their 10th PAC-10 Championship in a row. We'll see.
