Ugh had to take this cause my sister is afraid of flying...I guess if you got your own sleeping cabin it's a worthwhile venture but being confined to a seat for 17+hours is no way to travel for me...not great food unless you are willing to pay a little bit more for some cheap pizza...also the "in-flight " movies when I went were the Justin Bieber documentary and Gnomeo and JUliet... I recommend getting your own snacks and entertainment prior to this trip. SOme scenic stuff in VA through .

For 2 people, plus a car, you're looking at over $750.00
I don't know what type of discount you have, but I tried to see if any of them would work and unfortunately they don't.

@TheDan4279 It's 17 and a half hours; 3:30p.m.- 4:00p.m. departure, arrive at 9:30a.m. the next morning.

@aquarian256 I visited that terminal many times and two people who work there know me! I even got to have a look on board the cars even though I wasn't traveling.

The auto train is a GREAT idea if it were a little more cost effective. almost 1000$ round trip for 1 car and 2 people. COACH!!

Depends on the amount of people that are in line. But you should have time to get over to the side and watch it be put in and take the picture. You can always do that before going into the station to get your tickets.
