Touring here, ok, but don't live here (I live in New Zealand), you will get bored quickly and the people are not interesting and you will regret it. And it is not at all like Middle-earth, we just take so much pride in Lord of the Rings because it's the only thing that puts us on the map. We have like, no history.

To be honest, Im not going to try fight with all you people talking shit about NZ. Iv been around abit and can say NO place on earth comes close to NZ inall aspects! Ofcourse No wheres perfect but NZ is bloody close to it! And if you think otherwise, I feel sorry for you.

Yeah, that and all the drugs everywhere. Not only are NZ people a bunch of drinkers, but they have some of the worst drug use statistics in the world. Marijuana is incredibly common and P use is the highest in the world per capita; the police are busting about 200 drug labs a year. And the problem is getting worse.

100% Middle Earth? In other words 100% FANTASY. It seem like the New Zealand tourism industry can't even use reality in order to promote the country anymore. And no wonder, tourists are regularly murdered there, the landscape is poisoned with 1080, the rivers can't be drunk out of anymore and the country in general continues to be a violent and by western standards very underdeveloped place.
