As you can see, censorship wasn't and isn't always about dirty language.

It's kinda tragic that after all dear Rod did for art and the quality of the entertainment venue, he was best known for being merely THE HOST of "The Twilight Zone."
He didn't just show up, he built the damn thing. But that just shows you how shallow and lazy people really are.
He wasn't just a sanctimonious man with a cigarette who talked so condesendingly of anyone in the universe of the show.
He WAS the universe, the Twilight Zone.

@MsZathras Agree!

Would never have thought to describe Serling as sanctimonious. Serling wrote to make people think. He went through sheer hell during WWII in the Pacific. He saw things that he continued to have nightmares about. He won a Purple Heart. (See his wiki entry.)
I believe he wrote as he did because of his experiences. He saw the results of hatred and brutality first-hand. I think he wanted to try and prevent a repeat - for others - of what he had to go through.

given up on writing anything important? serling learned that he could use sci fi and fantasy to say the exact same things that he did in straight drama

You know, ultimately, Rod Serling was just a sanctimonious man with a cigarette, who talked so condescendingly of anyone in the universe of the show.
I was wondering if anyone knows the style of music is at 1:05 to 1;20 or perhaps what that particular piece of music is called, in fact any details regarding this music would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance. (Im looking for a period specific style of music and this fits the bill nicely.)

@MikeWhiskyTango Its a Jazz piece by Rene Garrigjenc. It can be found on the Twilight Zone 40th Anniversary 4 CD Soundtrack -Disc 3, titled "Jazz Theme #3". Its my favorite track from the entire set.
