You can follow the various recordings Henderson did of this tune in 1925 for Columbia and then jump to 1931 to hear his recordings on Columbia, Melotone, Victor and Crown and hear the style that would be come known as swing. Some of the recordings from '31 verge more on the style of the '20's but in the Crown recording, the tuba and banjo are replaced with guitar and the style transforms to strictly a '30's swing sound.
