  • Good. My grandfather was a 3 star general and truly believed he was being of service to his country.

You know, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." JFK

Politics is not my area of expertise. I am digital artist. But I admire the man in the uniform and this is tribute to them, not a commentary on terrorism or Iraq. I also like planes, boats and fast cars.

  • I told you that "I do my little bit, as I have most all my life. I'm no one's hero, but I'm an anti-war, anti-nuclear, peace and social justice activist and writer." And I am not dis'ing the enlisted man; I have just joined Veterans for Peace who are deeply alarmed by the mistreatment of women in the service, and the homeless, addicted, and neglected veterans all over San Francisco streets and elsewhere. I think we should honor our soldiers and vets by employing them peacefully.

  • I am sorry to hear that, but I did not hear exactly what you do to be of service. Many people who are of service, not the powers that be that put us in war, but the actual service men, truly feel in their heart of hearts that they want to be of service to this country and to protect your freedom. your freedom. your freedom. So please dont dish the enlisted man. I can't speak for all enlisted men, but most that I have ever met care about YOU.

  • I do my little bit, as I have most all my life. I'm no one's hero, but I'm an anti-war, anti-nuclear, peace and social justice activist and writer. I grew up around a Navy town which is a radioactive and otherwise hugely toxic mess--the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard; many kids I grew up with contracted cancer at a very young age and quite a few died, in their twenties. Two of my brothers had cancer in their forties and I stopped taking the tests.

  • And, annie get yor gang, what do you do to be of service to this country exactly?

  • You believe that the Global War on Terror, which I characterized as a disgraceful imperial fraud, is of service to the country. Are you really terrorized by all the poorest, most vulnerable people in the world?

  • Yes, thanks for observing the thrust of the piece, there are many many ways to be of service to America, and if you live here, it is a wonderful thing to be of service to your country, whatever your way might be. It is supporting the concept of being service in whatever capacity, the peace corp, helping out animal rescues, serving in food kitchens, or serving in the military. Whatever your calling is, this piece is supporting being of service to the country.
