The Patrick Henry Caucus was formed in Utah, 2009. It's mission is to restore and uphold the sovereignty and rights of the individual States as guaranteed by the tenth amendment of the United States Constitution, which states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

  • Purpose:

We, the Patrick Henry Caucus, unite to sustain the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. We pledge to support and uphold the principles embodied therein. Whereas the federal government has usurped powers beyond those delegated to it by the Constitution, we reclaim the Constitutionally protected rights of the States, and reject the position that States' sovereignty must be subordinate to the federal government.

  • as europen countries watch their sovereignty and self rule taken away, by joining the EU, USA seems to be re-awakening to the fact that each state is a seperate, sovereign STATE within the United States, and not territory of the federal government. Good work here!

  • @frank95054 I'll tell you why there aren't any other comments here, because this Patrick Henry Caucus and the 10th Amendment Movement are so accurate and on target in offering a solution to big Gov't that its completely ignored by the MSM so that almost no one knows about them, and those who do haven't really figured how important it is. Watch any movie/vid by Alex Jones and you'll know how important this movement is!

  • Patrick Henry refused to attend the Constitutional Convention because he sensed it was an attempt to do away with the Articles of Confederation. His early principles led him to oppose the Constitution. As it turns out, Patrick Henry would later join the Federalist Party and serve in the Washington administration. Like many of the early revolutionaries, his anti-government fervor evolved into a support for the Constitutional regime.
