More formal technique is shown when I use the real thing. A little spinning just to be flashy. I've gotten used to re-sheathing and parrying with it that way. Been a while since I swung around the real thing so I think I'm kinda slow, but this shows a lot more formal technique as far as cuts, blocks, and the draw cut. Footwork was hard to properly do, as I was standing on a small path of red bricks creating an uneven standing surface because the grass to the left is brand new baby grass so I didn't wanna trample all over it. I advise you practice on the flattest standing surface possible. Just because I kept balance doesn't mean you will. If you hurt yourself, it's your fault, not mine. I wrapped the handle of this katana myself in an unorthodox manner, and the fittings are all tight thanks to some improvisation after they were loosened by some bamboo. I've been training hard and if this is too slow for you guys, I'll be sure to liven up to speed by the end of next month.

  • It's a MUSASHI brand "Last Samurai" katana. Nothing special. If you're looking for hand forged with a certificate of authenticity to prove it was hand-forged, I suggest checking out sword buyers guide and the swords with certificates on trueswords.

  • @LinksRoyal Sorry, I seem to have misplaced both my email and password info for my old account. Anywho, any Japanese longsword is technically a daito. Particularly longer ones are often referred to as O-katana and Nodachi. :P
