I just got back from the Upper Gauley on sunday. We almost flipped at Pillow but just 3 out of the 8 fell out. It had been 15 years since i been there.

i love the gauley ...we got flipped pretty bad at pillow rock a few years ago and that was the last big trip we had ...people wussed out on me...they claim it's lack of money but i think they were just afraid. i miss it ...have not gone since 08

Wow... What a back paddle. I've never come to terms how commercial guides (at least all that I've seen) never tell their crews how to paddle properly.

just did a marathon this past weekend, man the upper gauley is so bad ass....pillow rock is amazing! i love fuzzy box of kittens too!....damn guides!
