I want to hear it with some drive!

awesome sound!

I played an Alembic Orion in green this weekend that was owned by Steve Miller. Probably not a guitar for everyone, but that thing had some hi-fi depth. Impeccable craftsmanship, as well.

This is "regular guitar tuning", but in B (B-#F-D-A-E-B)

Are all of the Orions baritone? And are the Buddha amps expensive?

Alembic make Orions in all formats, guitar, baritone and bass as you wish... Budda amps will be in the high end range, but I tell you, VALUE FOR MONEY.

I have been thinking about purchasing the budda superdrive 80. How do you like the tones? I haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet, and I'm looking for some outside opinions. thanks

Well, The 80 is one of my favorite amps, great tones! And it's extremely loud, too - if you want to. But by turning down the master, it still sounds great. But one thing is sure: You'll never find any drummer playing you off stage!

cool. What made you choose the baritone guitar over a 7-string or a normal tuned guitar?

Well, actually, we were involved in the creation of the very first Alembic barytone.... we made the specs and had Alembic make a "shrinked" bass with 6 strings, 28" scale... and the sound has stayed with us since. And the longer scale i essencial- plus the pickups of course!
