Wow! Name calling. Couldn't have predicted that from a leftist. I suppose the VERIFIED emails about climate-gate, hidden scientific proof of misleading information, and the more than 30,000 worldwide scientists that aren't using government money for studies on climate change are just as dumb?

Ok, she puts the chalk into the tap water (ph 7) and says it is fine. Since the ocean is ph of 8, has been for hundreds of years, and isn't projected to ever become acidic then it should be fine by her "logic" - of course, she is either lying or completely unqualified to be advising anyone.
-
@urlborg The video of the terapod shell was done in sea water at the ph projected in the year 2100.

It is sad that these people have lied and manipulated to the degree that they are able to entice the entire world into believing an Al Gore theory of climate change. It is finally good to see that the corruption has been brought to light and the truth is nearing the surface. What now tree huggers?

Why didn't she just use the water acidified from the dry ice instead of introducing vinegar which is totally unrepresentative of ocean water, For that matter why didn't she use saline seawater instead of fresh water?
-
Does the saline (salt) content have some other bearing upon the reaction/effects or outcome?

Again Dr. Lubchenko is highly misleading. Indeed if you add a non-volatile acid to carbonate, it will dissolve, as the excess CO2 will leave the solution. Most of the "projections" are based on such acidification. But if you add more CO2 to seawater, in many cases (coccoliths and reefs), these grow harder and stronger, as is been measured in the Great Barrier reef of Australia...

This travesty of science is an example of if you lie over and over long enough, idiots(congressmen) will believe it. Is this new data from the same liars of the global warming data? Did you kill that gay looking dead starfish you wear?
Has co2 ever been higher in the past? YES
Was there plankton and coral reefs? YES
This is another government employee that needs replaced.
no, it's sad how many people there are on this website as stupid as you
