@guitarboy1234 Check out my tutorial. There i show how you do the sidechain compression and how you mute the kick without doing anything with the sidechaining.

@ste1438 i hate that 2 ms delay man I wish there was a way to just get around it because I like limiter but Im currently looking for a new SC option that does not involve delay.

@guitarboy1234 Use the peak controller.

is this way better to use then to use peak controller?

@OlssoNTuneZ It depends on what you want to do - peak controller is good for stronger beat controlled effects. This is a fine tuning mastering effect - the uses compression. They are really unrelated in the way you implement them - it's like comparing apples to oranges.

Since there's a two ms delay when utilizing the fruity limiter, should you delay the sidechain source two ms to match? What I mean is, when i use PDC, everything but the source of the sidechain (kick) is delayed two ms, so the kick is slightly off with the hit of the snare for example. So - should I delay the kick the two ms, leave it as it is, or find a new sidechain compressor? Hope I was clear enough, thanks.

@solls2 2 ms is insignificant - unless you can audibly detect a "major" issue don't worry about it. PDC is something that should be done by the host application. I very rarely had any need to manually adjust it myself. You have an option to use delay compensation when you output your audio too - so even the insignificant timings are corrected.
