First experiments in building an Arduino controlled analog synth.

2 DCOs, one filter, monophonic (so far!).

It uses 555 as oscillators, digital potentiometers for envelope shapers and a recycled (maplin) auto-wah kit for the VCF.

  • yeah its midi in. I'm using digital potentiometers to control a couple of 555. A bit nuts but it requires very little processing overhead from the arduino. It does need a auto-tune procedure on boot though.

  • do you control the synth with MIDI out

  • @jjhilarious no it doesn't, it looks like a friggin cable mess!

  • Do you have any circuit diagrams or build pictures? This looks very interesting.

  • how do you digitally control a 555 with an arduino, just trigger it with a pulse?
