He means they cant own their own practice, they can work alone though. When you work under someone he means you work in someone else s practice.

Nocters are NOT a solution. If i pay a fortune in health insurance i want a medical school graduate and not a wannabe doctor nurse.

@mosaicism105 And that is fucking scary!!! These morons think they know as much or more than a doctor. HA. fucking idiots.

@num1jmca Yeah! I need a GPA of 3.25 for the BSN degree in order to enter to the Nurse practitioner program. I haven't started yet... I will start in 2012, the end of the world. lol

@QueenImmaculate Same!!!! We have a long way to go.
I am 24 and I just started nursing assistant program, after that I am going for BSN Degree, and finally, going for the nurse practitioner program. I am not smart.... but I will try my best.. and study hard
"UNDER the supervision of the physician"???
Nurses and Physicians work hand in hand/side by side.!!
Nurse's don't work for the Physician, Nurses work for the patient..

What this man stated is incorrect. If you try to read International Council of Nurses' definition of a Nurse Practitioner, wherein its says that NPs are functioning AUTONOMOUSLY/Indepently. Meaning, NPs can work with their own.
