ur usual optispark failure check for vacum leaks and spark plug wear n tear.that opti spark is desinged to fail, due to its failer to cool down in time or condensation.enginers know that fans can solve the problem so go to the computer store and find a couple of heat sink fans to cool down the ignition coils from high tempretures.since they over heat due to engine heat escape.replace your Optispark.

My Camaro got hot after hour of driving, the RPM is not going more than 3 and the car doesn't accelerate its just normal when u don't push much on the peddle.
I left it for about 5 hours to get cold and every thing got normal!

it's in Hialeah,Fl.the shop is on 41st and 10th court. my formula running awesome again.
I/E CHIP 160 STAT 373's and i have 123,000mi on the clock and it still runs 13.80's
this shop KNOWS their stuff.very happy with their work/service !!! you can check out the owners10sec T/A youtube- gm express racing Ray's trans am oh it WAS the Opti by the way
going to have my 93 formula checked tomorrow. car starts right up idles perfect but between 1500 and 2000 rpm's it backfires horrible and no power. if you ease it up to 45-50 and floor it it throws you back into the seat and runs as usual no hesitation whats so ever. changed plugs wires(had a burnt coil wire)but still doing same so there's something more. gonna take it to a place here in S.Florida that works only on LT1's LS1's LS2's etc. maybe EGR, OX SENSOR,, TPS, hoping it's not dreaded Opti

@use2slam2 You need to replace the Opti.
1st take the coolant liquid out.
2nd cover all spark plug wires and opti.
3rd take water pump out.
4rd take opti out.
Its important to cover anything that can be damaged by the coolant.
