This tutorial will show you the steps that I took in order to put together an aftermarket vga cooler. This tutorial deals in depth with the gv1000 vga cooler with Red LED lit fan from Zalman. We will show you how this easy install works as well as what to look for on your motherboard in order to finish a successful installation.

  • no cooling for the voltage regulators?

  • no I don't need them. If you have agood airflow this won't be a problem. my case stays at a cool 20C so there is no need for them ^_^

  • u missed the cooling for the voltage regulators on the GPU

  • I didn't "iss" them I simply did not have enough heatsinks for both the ram and those voltage regulators BUT if you have as ggood of an airflow in your acase as I do (IE case temp is always below 23C) you don't need em since the air itself keeps them cool enough. plus my fans speed are the fastest speeds you can get on the market which means there is no static air in my case.

  • Why Are the VRM's And the MOSFETS not covered you can Fry your Card

  • The after market fan comes with essentials only which means the gpu and the 8 ram. The others are optional. I have been using this setup for about 3 years now... I know that I have enough airflow where I don't need those.

  • @shukero My card is the small version of the GT220,{GT9500}

    Will it fit and do i need a lot of power to run the fan

  • This person is a noob.

  • so nerdy

  • you're not meant to touch the gold pins noob.

  • I'm planning to buy this cooling with a extra chip cooling kit, I hope I can finally get this baby to 1Ghz :-)

  • does this mount on a 260gtx? thx.

  • You know you are supposed to let the paste "set in" by running the card right?
