It's My Life;; Chapter 8

Crys could be heard all over the house the next morning by Leah, she was woken up by a gun shot outside. "MUMMY!" She screamed at the top of her voice.
Sam ran into Leah's room whilst Jacob went to find out what all the commotion was about. Moments later Sam followed with Leah in her arms, as she approached the door her jaw dropped, there laid infront of her was her little sister, Olive.
"Plea-Please don't tell me thats O-O-Olive" Sam stuttered. Jacob looked up at her with tears in his eyes and nodded, "It's her" he said almost in a whisper.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Sam screamed causing Leah to start crying again as she rushed to Olive's side.
Leah may only be 6 but she's old enough to know what happened to her auntie, "Auntie Olive?" She asked as she sat beside her body, tears streaming down her face.


"Olive Gomez?" The doctor asked walking into the waiting room.
Sam stood up, "I'm her sister, Sam"
"Well Sam your sister is very lucky, the bullet just missed her heart"
"Thank god for that!" she said.
"But-" He started to say.
"But? But what?" Sam asked.
"When she fell she must of hit her head quite hard, she has traumatic head injures which may cause her to loose her memory, however we won't know for certain until she wakes up" The doctor explained.
"Okay thank you" Sam said.


A few hours later

"I have good news and I have bad news" The doctor said.
"Whats the good news?" Sam asked.
"The good news is that Olive will remember everything in her life up until this morning and the bad news is she she wont remember anything from today, so she will remember who everyone is but if she meets anyone new after this day she won't remember them and she won't remember anything she does which means whatever it was that she done the day before this incident she will keep doing so every morning she will go to the same place to eat and do all the same things she done that day." He explained.
"How long will this last?" Sam asked.
"Unless a miracle comes along this will carry on for the rest of her life" He replied.
"What about when her looks change as she get older? Wouldn't she realise?" She said.
"Yes she will realise but she will freak out so the way to keep things the same is to keep repeating that and try to cover up as much as you can but when she realises something changed you will have to explain what happened, sure she will be upset but the next day she wont remember." He said.
"So her life and our lives are pretty much going to be the same forever?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, thats right" "Goodluck" he said before walking away.

Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year...everything stayed the same in their household.
