Gackt DOES NOT SMOKE ANYMORE, he's said in a interview that he's quit to keep healthy. I have my own idea of why gackt's voice sounds this way but you all would probably give me a thumbs down but whatever I like this just as much as the original i grew up listening to gackt, he has changed in many ways and it makes him even more lovable. you need to just appreciate him no matter about the sound of his voice and stop assuming crap you don't know -_- gackt still does his best. and give 110% .

@Roninnomaster I agree with you. and besides everyones voice changes if you smoke. and since he stoped somoking it no longer sounds the same as before. I like either way. with the "new" voice its kinda cool listening to him sing his old songs

to me it's kinda like a whisky voice.. and he does drink often right? please correct me If I am wrong.. but I know a lot of older adults who had a worn out voice from drinking too often.. well REGARDLESS Gackt still rocks my socks off, and I love him more than anything, now&forever!! (:

i wish the gladiator album was an album of original songs because I love the way it's produced. It's got a lovely ambience to it:) and who plays the drums on this album (at least on the new song versions), because they are epic! is it ryu?

I like this new version! I think that GACKT has really improbed since he first started back in the late 90's! I love him no matter what. His music just get's better and his voice is just as beautiful. It's not like his singing is BAD! That is a fact. Even if you don't like his new voice, or his new songs, or his hair w/e but he is without a doubt a wonderful singer and preformer. He is an artist and artists are in a constant dimmenstion of evolution.
