FDNY had much faster turnouts back in the 1960's when the alarms came over the bells. If you didn't run, you might miss the rig. Under 60 sec's was normal.

@SarniaFireBuff If you listened to the guy filming talking you would of heard them mentioning the High Rise Unit and setting it up, that will delay the response...which in this case it did

@SarniaFireBuff- i know what you mean but think about this, Im a volunteer firefighter, think about how long it takes us to get to the station? Those guys are already at the station ready to go, sometimes it could take us close to 10mins to get to the station if traffic is bad and you can't use sirens.

That probably also means that you 1. Didnt have enough time to properly dress out. 2 Probably are forced to finish dressing out in the rig which is unsafe, and 3 Almost no department is able to have a crew dress out, enter the rig, and hit the road in 30 seconds MAX. Im not trying to be an ass or something, but it just isnt likely
