Land of the lost was not trying to be a big budget, box office hit. It was trying to be a cheesy parody of other adventure films. It was fucking hilarious in multiple scenes. It was not meant to have fantastic acting, or costumes, or effects. It was meant to entertain. It pulled all those aspects off rather well, and although it doesn't deserve a 10/10 it surely deserves higher than what most give it credit for.

Personally, i'd say about a 6/10
