  • I just listened to Casanova in La Juive at the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv. He IS Eleazar. The voice, the muscial interpretation, the acting, everything was Opera at its best. I listened to the Eleazar arias of Caruso, Placido and Shicof in Youtube. The three are very powerful but for me there is something special about Casanovas Eleazar and I say this as a staunch Caruso fan. Thanks for posting.

  • Well, as I understand... this is a difficult aria yet, he manages it musically and vocally in a way that his mama should be proud... he is kind of chubby, but cute... he looks so jewish in that costime... looks that that shity production the met did some years ago...
