All these wasps are now acting alone, not as a collective. These wasps are more aggressive as they have no purpose in life as the nests have ended. They are simply feeding and will do so until they die. Certain plants (ivy) and certain trees (conifers) can be litterally covered with them in the cooler months of the autumn. By November they will all be dead and the hibernating queens will start next years colonies.
