@webdesign212 I do not see it as punishment if a rich person has to settle for a Lexus instead of a Porsche,if you get my drift. Not everyone who does not go to college or is poor is lazy. Even Bush talked about the poor who have two or three jobs trying to make ends meet. And,you should know that the job market is awful and work is not easy to find. You sound like a spoiled little rich kid who knows nothing about the real world. As far as guessing goes,don't quit your day job. :-)

why put devices on our airports that detect's "dangerous" substances only?? i would put in devices that detect and make those substances explode right there on the spot, advantage ....no need for any no fly list or "profiling" or any other bull shit they try to hit us with to make it more "safe" for us ,you get rid of any bombing attempt right away

I just heard that Obama now is going to tax the banks - and guess what - the same banks are going to pass those costs onto us - Obama will say that he did not tax the middle class, however anyone with a bank account will pay more - this is gov't double speak. It's time the poor and the rich helped bring this country back to the top - ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country - that does not mean giving out more welfare. Everyone is on a financial diet.

In other words,even if you are barely making ends meet and get some overtime on a job,the U.S. government acts like you are rich and taxes the h e double hockey sticks out of you. It would not be so bad if you were actually were rich. This kind of ridiculousness is why I think the government needs to back off the middle class and poor more in terms of taxes and tax the rich more. I know there are good arguments against that though and you will probably bring them up. That is just how I feel.

I do not know if you know this but people with low incomes can pay a lot in taxes. A lot. And,it seems the more money you make though still not making a lot of money the more the government takes. It is no wonder that those on the lower end of the economic scale do not want to pay copays or really pay for medical care while paying for what you consider to be luxuries. Are you serious about somebody driving up in a 50K SUV getting food stamps? I have never heard of something like that.

Just terrible. Proof positive that America is NOT a Christian nation because if it was it would not have fellowhip with a country like Saudi Arabia. As much as I might gripe about this country I have to give America props in terms of it treating different peoples fairly. No country is better at that than America. The only problem in terms of that in America is that the rich tend to get preferential treatment although as has been pointed out here the poor can have it pretty good.

Basically, Islam "tolerates" Christians and Jews as it sees them as being "fellow Abrahamic monotheists that need to get their minds right and eventually accept the truth of the Koran". Christians and Jews are tolerated in a some Islamic countries as second class citizens as long as they know their place and subject themselves and their beliefs to Islam's "moral superiority". Some don't even do that. For example, there are no churches in Saudi Arabia, they are illegal, as is having a Bible.
