I think the main problems of the U.S. education system is that there's no incentive for the government to improve it. There's not enough accountability among the staff, too many incompetent parents who don't want to get involved and a system that is more focused on tests than learning.

  • Great Video!!!

But here: "They don't really cover (insert here) in School..."

You can take out the "really" in that sentence because they DON'T clean, cut and simple. I would know because I graduated last year. Every useful thing I know I learned ON MY OWN TIME OUTSIDE SCHOOL. School did jack shit for me and I don't remember anything useful from it besides BASIC math! High School and College are Brainwashing factories; they teach you how to be a Slave, not how to THINK FOR YOURSELF.

    :(

  • Students need to learn important life skills to prosper outside of schools. Schools are great places in combating social and economic problems, as all people go to schools. People need to know about the risks and how to of finances, live a healthy life, become critical thinkers. Just a few examples. Schools need to teach these life skills, as well as the basics and advance education. But schools also should not always focus on academics not all people with go to uni. multi-pathways are needed.

  • Every nation needs a public (government) school system. In Australia, Japan and Europe The government school systems work very well. of course theirs issues but this occurs in all organisations public or private. Any school system in a nation should be standard across the nation not state or local. A standard National curriculum and this curriculum needs to be design by experts in Education and Learning. Schools are great places of learning and social improvements or antisocial prevention.

  • @MrAppleseed88 You're sidetracking.

  • @nexus1g in case of crack hole state orphanages would do far better and get the kid away form the crack hole, and kill the dumb bitch on her 3rd strike.

  • @MrAppleseed88 For some parents out there, it seems impossible I suppose. Like I said, any crack ho can get pregnant. That's why it falls on the schools to give them order when there's chaos in the rest of their lives.

  • @nexus1g No. It is the parents duty to be good teachers and roll models for their kids. you do not have to give then the best of things, just the best of you and your time. Teach them to stay clean and dry work hard, and be kind. If you have skills teach them that and encurge their actives in the things they like so they can become the best they can be. It is not that hard. Stay clean, work hard, be kind... Duh.... How is that so hard to do?

  • @MrAppleseed88 Parents will fail because there's no prerequisites for becoming a parent. This is why schools need to be there to pick up the slack. They need to offer the stable, rigid system that these kids may not be getting at home. This is in hopes of repairing any possible broken "DNA" from learned behavior.

  • Teachers make 50k+ a year on average across the country. For a part-time job, I'd say they're rewarded well enough monetarily.

  • @Freedomfighter1330 You graduated last year? That means you were 19 or 20 before you graduated high school. Given your use of the English language, I would say that the issue is you, not the school systems. Because you do learn to think for yourself and think critically if you "get" school.

  • Reggie, you hit the nail on the head. the educational system destroys critical thinking but even more sinister than that, the bankers were behind the design of educational curricula and they designed it to make young people obedient and docile. have you ever read any John Taylor Gatto about the history of education? check out Gatto's works. and parenting? you're on point again. Rockefellers funded women's liberation movement to create latch-key kids.
