If I had tried to text in class (if the tech had been available when I was in school), one of my classmates would've narked on me because I wasn't exactly the most well-liked pupil.

Cell phones aren't allowed in school, are they? Why are there classmates w/ cell phones out? Shouldn't they be scared of getting caught with the damn thing? I mean, I don't think the teachers approve of these things being tampered with throughout the day. When did this start? (The taking cell phones to school ordeal?)

I owned my first cell phone in 2000 or 2001. I was in Job Corps at the time. It was taken away. (Couldn't have it on campus or in the dorms.) Didn't get the darn thing back until I graduated/ left. Truthfully, I don't know when teenagers/ kids/ whatnot started taking them to school.

Of course teachers don't approve, but you just get sneaky at it after a while :P Like I have friends who can do it behind their back, Texting in class is just the new note passing.

"Texting in class is just the new note passing." <--- Like how you put that. :) Don't remember cell phones being in school in my day and age. (lol) (I am 27.)
