In the very beginning of this video You zoomed in on the top right of your desktop and showed the date...... I noticed you have the other icons saying 52% and the and Tx:/Rx:..... I had those icons on my other older iMac. Then I got my new one I can't remember where I got them from or what they were called.... Could you tell me where you got them from or where to find them on my computer because they were really helpful when I was runnning my software..... Thanks
Yes there is actually. Sony's Blu-Ray spec demands kernal level copyright protection and Apple is not willing to open up the kernel and slap a half baked port of the Windows version just yet. On a side note, is this possible for OS X still? Didn't they remove Kexts?
There is no way they will be putting an i7 into a iMac. First, they are too pricey and second is they run too hot at this time. They may introduce the i7 with the Mac Pro's however.
The i7 won't come to the standard iMac's until the next tick (32nm). When it hits that process level the heat and cost won't be as much of an issue.
The i7, while is a great processor, is not capable of what the Intel Xeon is. A look at clock speeds is enough: Xeon goes up to 3.2GHz, i7, 2.93GHz. If Intel boosts that to 3+ GHz, then maybe in the Mac Pros. Otherwise, Mac Pros probably will get a new version of the Xeon and the iMacs hopefully will get the i7.
I would also say that they will be moving the desktops to the Mini Display port from the DVI. At least the iMac and Mac Mini, don't know about the Pro.
Every single computer needs to be redesigned from the ground up except maybe the MacBook Pro, which just needs a i5 or i7

I was thinking that they might have the i7 in the mac pros, but I doubt it due to the price, not sure though.
BTW, Steve won't be hosting MacWorld 2009 - the last macworld ever :(
