Simulacra

A two minute award-winning hand-painted and toned film which turns Zoran's manipulation of filmstock into a progression of lines, shapes and explosions of colour and form set to a rhythmic, pulsing soundtrack by Steven Brekelmans. Simulacra is done in two stages. In the first stage, Zoran exposed and overexposed filmstock with a number of inspirational sources for the film's look. The second stage is the cameraless process of creating the visuals by dyeing the exposed stock into a colour dye bath creating raw and bold colours.
