Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising vs Armed Assault 2 - PC |HD|

What do u think, what game is better?

Maxing Arma 2 and OFDR out. I like them both. But Operation Flashpoint is Very well optimized. The Sound and the Handling are a way better than in ArmA 2. So I think that Operation Flashpoint is the better game. It´s possible that u have a different opinion.

@maziarandmelisa All of the units, models and textures in arma 2 are better quality, OFP:DR just uses cheap tricks with post processing to make it look better. Remember arma 2 is a combat simulator, DR is just an FPS that tries to freeload off the BIS innovation, but doesn't even get close to the mark, a failed compromise. More importantly, if you play Arma as it is meant to be played, in expert mode, there is no 3rd person view or hud. DR was a true disappointment, but not a surprise.

OFP wins in 1st person animations - reloading and such. Not much else I can say.

@PlaneAU the sounds in operation flashpoint were recorded using real military vehicles and weapons so yes the sounds are much better on op flash than on arma 2

Arma 2 is more realistic, looks better also. OFP 2 DR isn't that realistic, but it's still better than COD or Battlefield, OFP 2 also has worse graphics, they use bloom and sun glare or what it's called to try and make it look better.

Arma 2 is harder and more complicated, while OFP 2 is easier more fun to play I guess. Depends if you're in the mood for a more tough game, or just don't have the energy for it and go for OFP 2, barely played them but that's what I think so far

Actually arma 2 sounds are supposed to be realistic so no dragon rising doesnt have better sounds. Handling in dragon rising is clearly more FPS based and not simulated very much on real life like arma. Graphics wise, arma also wins, more detail on things like tanks and helicoters.

Content wise arma 2 alo wins. seriously people, don't be afraid of arma just because it looks complicated, it really isn't. Dragon rising is like the demo version of arma. 1/15 the content/abilities.

And guys a realistic shooter on console? It didn't work on pc you can give 1-3 commandos in one seconds !

On console that would take 5 seconds and than you haven't any more troops because they were all shot down that don't work

And in ofp 2 you can't move when you give commandos to your troops.

Than in ofp 2 checkpoints?

When you reach a checkpoint your troops where alive is that realistic? No!

Ofp 2 have no right for the name Operation flashpoint
