I like those nifty turtlenecks the sailors wore.

Wieland1985 Yes I would agree that there must be a strong blood tie between Germany and certainly a good part of Britain. Such a pity that both countries fought each other to a standstill twice in the last century. My late Father played in a military band when he was a young man and British masching music has been strongly influenced by Austro German music.

@themoonspinners maybe. Half of Britons have German blood ;-)

this just goes to show you not all german soligers were bad

Leave it to the Germans, to take a spring love song, and make it sound totally badass. lol

@tunastrike11 Look for this information in Wikipedia under Erika (song). I had been looking for the lyrics to this song for years and now I can sleep at night. Hope this info was helpful. Byt the lyrics are in German and English.

This was a gripping WW2 escape film and the singing of Erika in the introduction sets the whole mood of whats to follow.
I don't know why but German marching songs give me goosepimpels on my face - I must have some teutonic blood in me

Great Reikland battle song. We Kislevites are noted for our soul-stirring battle hymns, but the Reiklanders have this and the "Panzerlied" which in my opinion, are the most inspiring music our two empires ever produced. Chaos doesn't stand a chance!!!
