PIZZA! Jess shows how to make a basic pizza. Video and recipe made up on the spot. So delicious, it didn't even make it to video. All I could get was a picture before it was devoured!

Ingredients:

Crust:
2/3c buckwheat, soaked and dried
2tbsp flax seed
1/2c almonds, soaked and dried
1/2c cashews

Grind to a flour. Set aside.

Blend:
2 medium tomatoes
1/2c carrot
pinch Celtic Sea Salt
2 cloves garlic
2tbsp hemp oil

Stir into flour with 2tbsp Victorian Epicure Tapenade seasoning, or your favourite herbs and spices.

Spread onto teflex sheet and dehydrate until it will hold together. Flip onto regular wire dehydrator tray, and dry until warm and bread-like, but not crispy.

Pizza Sauce:
1tbsp sundried tomatoes, soaked in 1/3c water

Blend with

2tbsp nutritional yeast
pinch Celtic Sea Salt
2 tbsp water.

Spread onto pizza crust, and top with favourite toppings. Pictured in video are: Avocado, Spinach, Tomato. Topp with nutritional yeast if desired. Dehydrate 2hrs, until warm, or serve as is.

  • I have a breville blender now, but I am DYING to get a vitamix!! I can run the breville for a few minutes at a time, but there will still be chunks of stuff (ex: raspberry seeds, or chunks of cucumber skin). Does the vitamix really "pulverize" everything as they say?

  • @emilyj1987 It does!! It's absolutely amazing. It even liquifies strawberry seeds. You might need to let it run 30 seconds to 1 minute if you have a big batch. It's one of the best investments someone can make. <3

  • Where did u get the teflex sheet I got the same type or style of dehydrator and I can't find a sheet for it

  • @serafinyado If you google "American Harvest" you should be able to get one from the factory website :)

  • Disappointed to see that you don't have an Excalibur dehydrator...like the difference between a scooter and a BMW.

  • @markpianoman I have one now! :) This was ages ago :)

  • @dianemod The ingredients are in the information section of the video :)

  • @tbsosnj Cashews are raw, but the USA recently passed a law requiring almonds to be quickly heated. Most almonds imported to Canada are from the USA. Some people have still had success sprouting them (how without the shell I have no idea), so there's controversy.

  • @xsliceofheavenx Absolutely. Never stop experimenting!

  • if i want can i just grind up raw soaked buckwheat and make plain salt free crusts?
