@anothayouinaminute so when u straighten ur hair ur teaching self hate? how about curling it? or wearing make up? getting a tan?....changing ur appearance isn't teaching self hate...it's just altering urself in a way that makes u happy

I agree...and women who everyoen 'excpect' (insert sarcasm here) dont get criticcised or 'suspected' of having a weave (light skinned women specifically)...so there are alot of weave-weares walking around that people dont noticed...but for real alot of black women are going crazy with the unreal textures and colours. Looking like shiny plastic sitting on top of their heads

"black women and weaves" ... what a narrow minded statement.. I am white and i wear weave all the time... Just about every supermodel you see in a magizine (victorias secret models).. singers (jessica simpson, taylor swift hell ive even seen carrie underwood wear one) ALL wear weaves. I didnt realize it was only a "black" thing thats pretty ignorant. its not as unnatural as say a boob job or cosmetic surgery its hair for christ sake you can take it right out!
