I remember these as a kid on Saturdays. I would spend my Saturdays with my Grandmam. I'd run to the store do some work for her then we would watch wrestling together. She was a fan from the 40's. She thought it was real and you couldn't tell her no different. Through your postings I get to relive such grand memories of my youth. Thanks my friend...

@TakeAShowerStinky He was quite an accomplished wrestler and in this case was in the right place at the right time. Victor Rivera was actually the wrestler who won the tag title with DeNucci, but Rivera took a job with the IWA while still holding the WWWF tag title. I don't remember how the WWWF explained his sudden absence, but the storyline had them allow DeNucci to pick a replacement and he chose Barrett.

Never heard of Pat Barrett. How did he become a tag team champion?

I saw many tag title changes at the Arena as a kid...my favorite was when the Valiants got beat by DeNucci & Rivera;

DeNucci's original tag championship partner was Victor Rivera (they beat the Valiant Brothers only 3 months before this match). Rivera left the territory shortly afterward, but they were champs long enough to have a wild brawl with the Blackjacks on "All Star Wrestling" in a non-title match prior to this match. The Blackjacks were defeated a few months after this match by Louis Cerdan (aka Gino Brito) and the late Tony Parisi (Pugliese).
