READ HERE!
This is my first car, a 1983 280ZX (non-turbo) all original parts.. Except for the shift knob, but I still have that.. Original engine and paint job. I am its second owner! Great condition.. Working on restoring this beauty. (Changes made since this video: New Clutch, Slave Cylinder, new sound system and radio CD player, and a few other things) I attempted at keeping the original sound system but it was too far gone. :( Fellow 280z(zx) owners out there! Tell me what you think of it!

  • @cobrachoppergirl And it is well taken care of by both its previous and current owner. Maybe JDM cars are just not your thing. Thank you for your comment anyways.

  • @cobrachoppergirl That is your opinion, however, I disagree. Zs are not cramped at all when I have worked on it. And my ZX runs beautifully with zero mechanical problems. Cosmetically I restored the inside, save the steering wheel which I was working on.

And I am afraid owning 2 Zs/ZXs does not qualify you to know everything there is about the car. I bought this car from its original owner, and have complete mechanical history on the car.

  • Nice job. That car looks like it's in mint condition.

  • @PrinceofMacedon it is still far from that, friend. But it is on its way (: thanks!

  • beautiful zx bro. mine is a 83 as well. there very expensive to keep up. very nice again

  • They can be! This was just one of those days when the Z looked better than ever. Thank you!:)

  • Quick question about a 1983 280 zx that im looking to purchase , maybe the zheads can answer..did these cars come with louvers on al back windshields?

  • beautiful car. i miss my 81 all the time. one of the easiest cars to work on.

  • I saw one on craigslist for 800

  • @Nicaud92 Haha! Great looking car! I bought a 280zx that had a few rust issues for about $1,300 if I remember correctly. It had 150,000 miles on it when I bought it. I drove it another 90,000 miles!

Z's kick ass and the entire motoring world KNOWS The kind of mileage that Nissan got out of that L block is enough to make ANY company jealous. The only knock anyone should have on them is that they are prone to rust due to the thin gauge of metal used to make the body.

    Hope you're still enjoying it

  • Dear santa...

  • thats rely goood

  • Looks like what it is, a cheap mass produced Jaguar rip off that's 25 years old and every thing by now is starting to die and rot on it. I know, I have two of them, and I spend as much time or more working on my Z garbage as I do driving it. Total lemons. I don't even drive mine anymore, instead I prefer my motorbike. Motorbike is just as old and wore out, but at least working on it everything is exposed, easy to get to, easy to understand, and a snap. The Z is a compact cramped nightmare

  • Very nice looks great!! Soon to be my first car as well! :D
