Liked the music and singing when I first heard this song. Now, that I heard and listened to the lyrics, tears almost came. I was only 18 years and now I am 60. Wisdom came slow to me. Mary is an artist exemplar. That recent video of hers, wanting to record a metal song and her son stopping her; showed me that she is human like all the rest of us. Whew! I thought an actual angel had visited us in 1969. Glad Paul listened to Twiggy.

It has been like revisiting a long lost friend to listen again to Earth Song. We played the vinyl so much in our house, and the remastered CD far exceeds the quality of the original. International is a beautiful song, but I could not imagine hearing anyone but Mary sing this. She makes it and its words all her own.
